The dependability of power electronics systems, such as three-phase inverters, is critical in a variety applications. Different types failures that occur an inverter circuit might affect system operation and raise the entire cost manufacturing process. As result, detecting identifying problems for devices industry. This study presents short-time Fourier transform (STFT) fault classification identification type, voltage source (VSI) switches. Time-frequency representation (TFR) represents signal analysis STFT, which includes total harmonic distortion, instantaneous RMS current, fundamental non waveform distortion average current. features faults are used with rule-based classifier based on parameters to categorise detect switch faults. suggested method's performance evaluated using 60 signals containing short open varying characteristics each VSI. results demonstrate proposed technique good be implemented VSI switches classification, accuracy rate 98.3%.
